into consideration. Full Membership <\\\/strong> <\\\/p>\\n\n\n<p><span>Full membership can be acquired by:<\\\/span><\\\/p>\\n\n\n<ol type=\\\"a\\\">\\n\n\n<li>national professional associations of scaffolding, which were founded in\\nproper form in each of the countries<\\\/li>\\n\n\n<li>regional, representative organisations from individual countries in which a\\nbroad and national professional association for scaffolding companies does\\nnot exist or is not a Full member of the European association UEG<\\\/li>\\n\n\n<li>single scaffolding companies, if a professional national association does not\\nexist in the respective country. In case that a national association is founded\\nlater and becomes member, the membership of the single scaffolding\\ncompany changes by the end of the founding year of the national association\\ninto an associated membership.<\\\/li>\\n<\\\/ol>\\n                                  \"}},{\"type\":\"list_item\",\"props\":{\"content\":\"<strong> 2. Associated membership <\\\/strong>\\n<br \/>\\n\\n\n\n<p><span>Associated membership can be acquired by:<\\\/span><\\\/p>\\n\n\n<p>natural or legal persons, who are professionally or economically interested in the\\nassociation and\\\/or want to support the UEG with the payment of contribution, which has\\nto be agreed upon.<\\\/p>\\n\\n\n\n<p><span><strong>Associated members are especially:<\\\/strong><\\\/span><\\\/p>\\n\n\n<ul>\\n\n\n<li>manufacturers<\\\/li>\\n\n\n<li>merchants<\\\/li>\\n\n\n<li>importers<\\\/li>\\n\n\n<li>supplier for products for the scaffolding industry<\\\/li>\\n\n\n<li>service providers for the scaffolding industry (agents, consulting engineers, financial\\nservice providers)<\\\/li>\\n<\\\/ul>\\n<br \/>\\nAssociated members have all rights and duties as Full members, except the right to vote\\nin the general meeting and the eligibility as a Chair member.\"}},{\"type\":\"list_item\",\"props\":{\"content\":\"\n\n<p><strong> 3. Membership in the UEG initially includes the original members. Further members will\\nbe accepted upon request. A written acknowledgement is possible. The request has\\nto be addressed to the Secretary General of the UEG. The chair and the Secretary\\nGeneral decide about the acquisition in compliance with the acquisition criteria set up\\nby the general meeting. The acquisition will be confirmed by the next general\\nmeeting.\n\n\\n2. Membership can be terminated in written form addressed to the Secretary General 3\\nmonths to the end of each year.\n\n\\n3. The general meeting can decide on the debarment of a member for important\\nreasons (e.g. outstanding contribution debts, constitution offences, severe offences\\nagainst the interest of the association).\n\n\\n 4. All claims toward the UEG expire with the resignation of a member. The general meeting consists of the delegates appointed by the respective full\\nmembers. Each country can appoint two delegates (one vote).\\n\n\n\\n2. The Chair of the UEG generally convenes annually, at least two months before the\\nintended date, a regular conference of the general meeting. Along with calling the\\nmeeting, the agenda has to be handed out. Any petitions or requests to the agenda\\nmust be sent to the General-Secretariat not later than one month before the meeting.\\n\n\n\\n3. The Chairman of the UEG convenes an extraordinary conference of the general\\nmeeting, if this has been requested in written form by at least one third of all\\nmembers. The application must include a proposed agenda. The extraordinary\\nconference should be held no later than 2 months after the filing of application.\\n\n\n\\n4. Each duly convened general meeting is a quorum, if 50 % of the members entitled to\\nvote are present. The afore mentioned quorum has to be indicated with each\\nconvocation. In case 50% of the members with voting power are not present, another\\nmeeting has to be convened immediately in compliance with clause two.\\n\n\n\\n5. Each Full member has one vote. In case several Full members are present from the\\nsame country, each country still has only one vote, so that the members have to\\ndecide on who exercises this right. In case of failure of an agreement, it will count as\\nan abstention from voting of this country. Irrespective of nationality, the voting right\\ncan be assigned to other delegates.\\n\n\n\\n6. Resolutions of the general meeting are passed with simple majority of the present\\nvotes, as long as the constitution does not provide otherwise. Amendments to the\\nStatutes as well as the dissolution of the association requires a majority of two-thirds\\nof all existing votes. A simple majority requires that of the given votes the number of\\nvotes saying yes preponderates the votes saying no or, if there are more candidates,\\nirrespective of the number of the given votes, the maximum number fells the decision.\\n\n\n\\n7. A transcription of all resolutions at each general meeting has to be made, signed by\\nthe Chairman and approved by the next general meeting.\\n\n\n\\n8. The Chair consists of the Chairman and two Vice-Chairmen: <br \/>\\n\n\n<ol type=\\\"a\\\">\\n\n\n<li>a Vice-Chairman for the sector economy and law<\\\/li>\\n\n\n<li>a Vice Chairman for the sector engineering<\\\/li>\\n<\\\/ol>\\nThe members of the Chair are required to have different European nationalities.\\n\n\n\\n2. Eligibility to the chair is restricted to those holding an executive position within a\\nscaffolding company or a leading position within a nationally-recognized specialist\\nscaffolding organization which is a full member of the UEG. The office of chairman as\\nwell as at least one vice-chairman office is reserved for persons who currently hold an\\nexecutive position in a scaffolding company.\\nCommittee members are elected by the member body for a term of two years. The\\nchairman and the vice-chairman are elected on the recommendation of their national\\nspecialist organizations, which must be full members. The person receiving the\\nabsolute majority of all votes cast is elected. If no candidate receives such a majority,\\nthen a second ballot takes place between the two candidates with the most votes, in\\nwhich the simple majority decides. The committee remains in office until a new\\nelection takes place.\n\n\\n3. In case the Chairman is temporarily detained from his office or resigns from office\\nbefore his term expires, the Vice-Chairman for the sector economy and law\\nprovisionally accepts the office. In compliance with the previously mentioned\\nrequirements for one of the Vice-Chairmen, the Secretary General provisionally\\naccepts the office. If a member of the Chair resigns from office before his term\\nexpires, the next general meeting must initiate a new election for the remaining term\\nof office.\\n\n\n\\n4. The Chair makes decisions with simple majority of the members. Each member of the\\nChair has one vote. In case of a voting tie, the vote of the Chairman is decisive. The\\nChair is quorate when more than half of the members are present. Generally,\\nresolutions are adopted at conferences, at which the Chair must be present. In\\nexceptional cases, especially in cases of urgency or sickness of a chair member,\\nresolutions can also be passed in written procedure (sending it through post, fax, or\\ne-mail), unless a member of the Chair objects.\n\n\\n5. The Chairman convenes the Chair as necessary or when two members of the Chair\\nrequest a meeting.
